Swedish Medical Center Dexa Technologist - Bone Health, Issaquah in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Dexa Technologist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Bone Health department at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Dexa Technologist is responsible for performing DXA scans on patients and running analysis software, and compiling bone density information on computer databases for DXA reports.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident working independently serving an elderly or Medicare population. We value someone with an excellent bedside manner who will cater to serving elderly patients.
In this position you will:
Produce bone densitometry and vertebral fracture assessment results from Hologic scanners
Perform clerical duties including generating and correcting patient orders, and verifying completed exams
Schedule exams, update patient records, answer phones and act as a liaison between patients, physicians and staff
Demonstrate competency with all related software programs, and expressed desire to learn and effectively operate proprietary DXA workflow management systems
Required qualifications for this position include:
Satisfactory completion of bone densitometry trainingwith ISCD (CBDT) designation, with proof of up-to-date certification ormaintenance of certification within 12 months of hire
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
Active Interim Certificate or Active Medical AssistantCertified through Washington State; required by date of hire.
If in Active Interim Certification Status applicantmust pass one of the following exams within 120 days of hire:AAMA, AMT, NHA NCCT.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with vertebral fracture assessment (VFA) and whole-body (WB) scanning are assets
