Swedish Medical Center Certified Nursing Assistant Health Unit Coordinator in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for a CertifiedNursing Assistant Health Unit Coordinator (0.5 FTE, EVENING SHIFT) to work in the Behavioral Psych departmentat Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in the patient care areas. The NAC/HUC will interact with patients, families and physicians and act as a liaison among members of the health care team, patients and families.

In this position you will:

  • Assist the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit

  • Be responsible for setting alarms and observing oxygen saturation readings

  • Oversee the orderliness of work areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies

  • Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Current Washington State certification as a Nursing Assistant Certified

  • Current CPR certification

  • Washington State Medical Assistant - Registered will be required with Swedish Medical Center facility application completed within 7 days of hire. Must obtain active license within 60 days of hire

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Six months of acute care experience

  • One year of skilled nursing experience. Acute or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course
