Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Charge Registered Nurse (1.0 FTE, Day shift) for Neuro and Spine Surgery at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
Swedish Medical Center has an opportunity available for an experienced Charge Registered Nurse. The Surgical Services Specialty Charge Nurse is a key team member who is responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities in assigned area.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, evaluate, and document the nursing process in the assigned unit as needed.
Ensure patient support through infection control processes, sterility assurance, and product and instrument availability.
Actively participate in staff development
Discern departmental needs in managing daily workload and staffing within budget and standard of care
Required qualifications for this position include:
Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire
Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
Relevant Clinical experience
Knowledge of specialty procedures
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Ability to scrub most specialty cases
Ability to plan and modify clinical approaches
