Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Clinical Data Coordinator to work in the Quality and Patient Safety Department at the First Hill Campus in Seattle. Responsibleforcollectionofdataforclinicaldatabases,utilizingclinicalexperiencetomonitor,analyze,andreportdataonSMCpatientpopulations,includingdemographics,clinicalinformation,treatmentreceivedandoutcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Providedataanalysisandperformanceimprovementconsultingforlarge-scalehealthcarequalityassessmentand improvementprojects

  • Reviewreports,identifytrendsinserviceandproviderperformance,initiateanddesigndrill-downanalysis, andsupportservice-designatedqualityandperformanceimprovementprojects

  • Consultswithmanagers,staffand physicianstosupportimprovementactivitiesandorganizationalinitiatives

  • Coordinatebothelectronicandmanualpoints ofdatacollections,andassistsindevelopingnewdataelementsasneeded

  • Educatesandtrainsstaffondatareporting requirements,relevantdatadefinitions,andperformancefeedback

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

Education :

  • Bachelorofsciencedegreeinnursing,alliedhealthsciences,appliedbehavioralscience,orrelatedsubjectrequired.Master’sdegreeinnursing,alliedhealthsciences,appliedbehavioralscience,orrelatedsubjectpreferred

Licensure/Certifications :

  • CurrentlicensureinWashingtonStateappropriatetoprofession

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimumthreeyearsclinicalorhealthrelatedexperiencestronglypreferred

  • Epicexperiencestronglydesired

  • ExperiencewithNationalRegistrydatasubmissionpreferred

  • Demonstratedabilitytoapplyproblem-solvingskillsinvariousjob-relatedsituationsandtocommunicateeffectively
