Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integration Specialist (1.0, Days) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a detail oriented Clinical Documentation Integration (CDI) Specialist who will uphold the Swedish standards for patient care safety and excellence.
In this position you will:
Manage the improvement of the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation through interaction with physicians, nursing staff, and other patient caregivers and HIM coding staff.
Work to ensure the appropriate reimbursement is assigned for the level of service rendered to patients.
Facilitate the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for appropriate coding.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
BLS and ACLS certification.
Experience as an RN in an ICU or Emergency Department.
