Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integration Specialist (1.0, Days) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a detail oriented Clinical Documentation Integration (CDI) Specialist who will uphold the Swedish standards for patient care safety and excellence.

In this position you will:

  • Manage the improvement of the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation through interaction with physicians, nursing staff, and other patient caregivers and HIM coding staff.

  • Work to ensure the appropriate reimbursement is assigned for the level of service rendered to patients.

  • Facilitate the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for appropriate coding.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or must attain a BSN within 5 years of hire.

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.

  • BLS and ACLS certification.

  • Experience as an RN in an ICU or Emergency Department.
