Swedish Medical Center Clinical Supervisor - Pain Services in Seattle, Washington


Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in Pain Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Clinical Supervisor is accountable for providing clinical oversight throughout all of Pain Services in all aspects of the care delivery system and works organizationally to improve service. Ensures compliance with Swedish Health Services clinical protocols i.e. procedural sedation, clinical competencies and licensure.

In this position you will:

  • Supervise the Pain Service Staff

  • Work collaboratively with staff, management and physician leaders to develop methods for improving and monitoring the quality of care overall

  • Address any issues that may affect the desired patient outcomes

  • Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care, as needed, by interpreting and enforcing standards

  • Participate in staff development including development and maintenance of competencies, participation in the clinical orientation process and involvement in the educational processes

  • Maintains own licensure and credentials in order to assist clinical staff to provide patient care


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience as a Supervisor or Charge Registered Nurse

  • ACLS Certification OR able to get it within 6 months
