Swedish Medical Center Decision Support Analyst, Care Delivery Efficiency and Effectiveness in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Shared Services is looking for a Decision Support Analyst, Senior Care Delivery Efficiency and Effectiveness (Full Time, Day Shift) to work in Clinical Transformation at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Decision Support Analyst organizes and manages financial related projects associated with Institute Performance Management working with Swedish institute leaders, staff, managers, directors and physicians.This role will be integrated with the existing Institute Finance team, collaborating and learning with them to ensure a consistent approach to institute finance system-wide.
In this position you will:
Track and report on performance of the Swedish clinical institutes (e.g. Cancer, Neurosciences) using internally developed reporting tools
Collaborate with institute leaders and CDEE staff to identify and evaluate potential improvement opportunities in clinical efficiency, revenue capture, program structure, and institute strategy, playing a key role in helping the institute decide where to focus its improvement priorities
Support implementation and tracking of improvement projects with financial analysis as needed
Translate clinical and financial data analyses into persuasive business cases to be delivered to senior leaders
Educate clinicians on healthcare finance topics
Become the primary finance expert for a clinical institute, developing strong relationships with clinical and administrative leaders
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration, finance, accounting, or equivalent.

Experience and Skills :
1 – 3 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting preferred
Working knowledge of healthcare organizations and metrics, financial accounting and database applications or willingness to learn these concepts quickly
Ability to solve problems independently, communicates effectively, quickly identify core needs, and provide information in a meaningful and concise format
Ability to critically analyze and interpret financial documents
Work experience in financial forecasting and budget management preferred
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including development of financial proforma
