Swedish Medical Center Endoscopy Technician II - Endoscopy in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Endoscopy Technician II (1.0 FTE, Day shift) to work in Endoscopy at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Endoscopy Technician II is responsible for scheduling procedures, computer data entry for ph studies, and assisting in the procedure room. The Endoscopy Technician is expected to fulfill varying weekend and weeknight call coverage. The Endoscopy Technician is expected to provide support and coverage across all Swedish campuses as needed. May occasionally work overtime.

In this position you will:

  • Clean and disinfect scopes, preparing scopes for repair

  • Prepare equipment for sterilization

  • Set up and maintain supplies in procedure rooms

  • Assist nurse with patient admission to the procedure room

  • Comply with all department specific policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school or GED

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) or Medical Assistant certification

  • Certified as a GI Technical Specialist (GTS) from the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA)

  • Previous experience with scope processing
