Seattle, Washington – Seeking an exemplary physician to serve as Geriatric Medicine Medical Director focusing on post-acute care. Full-time position with duties split between clinical practice (0.6 FTE) and administration (0.4 FTE). Competitive compensation; comprehensive benefits. At least five years of experience as a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician required. Geriatric fellowship preferred. Join Swedish Medical Group’s Residential Care Team (RCT) which focuses on the transition of care from acute care in a hospital setting to rehabilitation care in a skilled nursing facility. The Medical Director partners with our Director of Operations to oversee the coordination and transition of care among six area skilled nursing facilities while collaborating with an exceptional team of providers. The team’s goals include improving patient care and family satisfaction, reduction of costs, and the decrease of unnecessary hospital readmissions. You’ll have the opportunity to travel to each of the facilities and spend time with the teams. Additionally, participation in the Geriatrics fellowship program is a possibility, if desired.
