Swedish Medical Center Neurophysiology Technologist I - EEG in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Neurophysiology Technologist I (1.0 FTE, Days) in the EEG department at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA
Under general supervision of the supervisor or Lead Technologist, employs various techniques and instruments to perform EEG’s, evoked potentials studies, long term monitoring, and ambulatory monitoring. The procedures are performed in a variety of settings, patient care floors, intensive care units, and the neurodiagnostic laboratories Must have the ability to perform standby duties and on call availability as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position:
High school graduate and a graduate of a two year electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation and/or two years of college in a related field and/or equivalent formal training approved by the Medical Director.
Registry required by the American Board of Registration of EEG and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
Current BLS certification.
Minimum two years in electroneurodiagnostics and evoked potential studies and two years experience in monitoring EEG’s/EP’s in the operating room under the direct supervision of a qualified Electroencephalographer.
