Swedish Medical Center Pharmacy Intern - Inpatient in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Pharmacy Intern (Per Diem, Variable Shift) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Pharmacy Intern may, under the direction and supervision of a pharmacy preceptor, perform all of the duties of a pharmacist except the final check of medications.

In this position you will:

  • Enter medication orders, including entering charges and credits, to ensure up to date patient medication and billing records

  • Fill routine orders from computer generated medication labels

  • Offer essential drug education to patients by verbal and/or written consultations

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Current license to practice as a pharmacy intern in the State of Washington

  • Ability to complete drug-related services accurately and efficiently

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment
