Swedish Medical Center Referral and Scheduling Coordinator - Liver Disease Management in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Liver Disease Management at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
Under the guidance of a physician or designee, utilizes communication and management skills to coordinate seamless care delivery for patients in a surgical or non-surgical setting.
In this position you will:
Act as a patient advocate to assure the patient’s access to health care during their services of the clinic.
Assist in scheduling surgeries and/or procedures or services needed.
Act as contact for clinic providers, patient and family, referring physicians, outside agencies, outside staff and public by providing information regarding clinic’s services.
Coordinate pre-admission tests, pre-surgery appointments/tests, and procedures.
Communicate with health care team members regarding the status and/or completion of care coordination activities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma
Experience in patient care setting
Professional understanding of medical terminology
Professional understanding of CPT and ICD9 coding
Working knowledge of insurance authorization process
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Health Related field
N.A.C. (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification
