Swedish Medical Center Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse (0.9 FTE, Nights) to work in Behavioral Health at Swedish Ballard in Seattle, WA.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
In this position you will:
Manage the care of patients experiencing behavioral health issues and psychiatric and mental health disorders including substance abuse and addiction
Provide behavioral health assessments, clinical treatment including medication administration, education, and case management services
Delegate and supervise personnel that participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing or must actively pursue and attain a BSN within six years of hire
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current BLS Certification
One year of psychiatric/mental health nursing experience in an acute care setting
Knowledge of human growth and development to modify services to the age and development stage of the patient
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications, psychiatric conditions and general treatment
