Swedish Medical Center Registered Nurse - Oncology Services in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse (0.9 FTE, Nights) to work for Oncology Services at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
In this position you will:
Delegate and supervise personnel that participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met
Perform assessments, plan patient care, provide direct care, and educate and orient families and staff
Work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
Use knowledge of human growth and development to modify services to the age and development stage of the patient
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing or must actively pursue and attain a BSN within six years of hire
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current BLS Certification
Minimum of one year of acute care (hospital) nursing experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Oncology Certified Nurse
Minimum of one year oncology nursing experience
Completion of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course
