Swedish Medical Center Scheduler - Surgery in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Scheduler (Per Diem, Evening shift) at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The position is responsible for scheduling all inpatient and outpatient procedures and coordinating procedure schedules with other departments such as Medical Imaging, Surgical Services, Anesthesia, the Swedish Cancer Institute, and ICU.
In this position you will:
Schedule all inpatient and outpatient procedures
Coordinate procedure schedule with physicians and hospital departments and prepare daily schedule for distribution
Assist in patient check-in by obtaining all patient demographics to set up pre-registration account
Coordinate nursing coverage and assist the Nursing Supervisor with staff scheduling and on-call coverage
Collect, maintain and distribute all statistical information on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School graduate or GED equivalent
One year previous scheduling experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two-year secretarial program, which includes medical terminology
Three years clerical hospital experience, preferably in surgery or a physician's office
