Swedish Medical Center Social Worker - Swedish OBGYN Specialty - First Hill in Seattle, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a flexible Social Worker (1.0, Days) to split their time in both the Swedish OBGYN Specialty Clinic at Swedish First Hill (Seattle) and Swedish Issaquah Clinic.

The Social Worker is responsible for providing medical related social services and counseling for patients and families. These services include psychosocial, behavioral health needs assessments, planning and intervention.

In this position you will:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, co-workers and community agencies

  • Conduct psychosocial assessment and behavioral health needs assessment for women's health

  • Provide emotional support, financial referral, and concrete services to Organ Transplant patients and their families

  • Work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary Women's health teams in the ambulatory settings

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work

  • Licensed Social Work Associate - Advanced (LSWAA) or Licensed Social Work Associate - Independent Clinical (LSWAIC)

  • Experience post Masters work in a medical setting

  • Experience working with behavioral health and women's health issues

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 (Two) years experience as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW) with the Washington State Department of Health

  • Substance abuse treatment knowledge and experience
