Tamisha joined Swedish in 2005 as Lab Coordinator in a new Cardiology group. She ensured that care remained patient-focused as her clinic grew and established. In 2015, she joined the Swedish Neuroscience Institute where she is now Clinic Supervisor supporting caregivers and patients while keeping the administration of the clinic running smoothly.
I am inspired by being part of a clinical structure that is patient focused and backs it up with a massive amount of resources.
What most attracted you to Swedish?
I knew there was stability and a great foundation for caregivers at Swedish.
How do you deliver or impact the extraordinary care given to our patients?
I always place myself in the patient's shoes, because I am a patient too. It's not about having the same diagnosis or disease, but asking the question, "How would I want to be cared for?” This always allows me to put things into perspective and continue to be patient focused.
How do you give your personal best in your job each day?
I am able to give my personal best because I work with very best administrative team. They communicate well, offer support when needed, and empower supervisors to supervise.
