SwedishMedical Center is looking for a Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator (0.9 FTE,Nights) to work for the Command Center at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator has the primary responsibility of assigningbed placement for patientsrequiring admission to acute care and criticalcare units at Swedish Edmonds.
Inthis position you will:
Be responsiblefor admissions from emergency departments, direct admits and inter-unit transfers.
Coordinate requests for surgicalpatients(inthecase of add on procedures and/orchanges to admission) as wellas pediatrics, patients toCDU and admissions from outside facilities, will filter through this process
Review chartsand/orcallsto clarify bed criteria will beperformed to assure appropriate bed placement
Collaboratewithnursing,physicians,EVS,thenursingresource office and other facilities todefine, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow
Requiredqualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’sDegreeinNursingfrom anaccredited School ofRegistered Nursing
CurrentWashington State Registered Nurse license required
Abilityto work with people who may be injured, infirmed or confused and their families; understanding their needs and concerns is crucial
Minimum 5 years’ RNexperience in either ED, ICUand/or 5 yearsAcute Care Inpatient Nursing
Preferredqualifications for this position include:
