Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Angioinvasive Cardiovascular Technologist to wo rk for Cardiac Catheterization at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

This is a 0.8 FTE, day shift position.

The Angioinvasive Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for performing the technical aspects of adult, geriatric, and adolescent procedures done in Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Lab under the direction of the Radiologist, Cardiologist and the Lab supervisor, and producing radiographic diagnostic quality for these examinations as prescribed by department protocols.

In this position you will:

  • Perform all technical aspects of procedures in order to conclude studies and provide efficient throughput within the department to include rotating through scrub, circulating and filming positions

  • Maintain proficiency in evaluating geriatric, adult or adolescent patient condition to include blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation through in-services and continuing education

  • Maintain proficiency and operation of the RMS computer system to ensure timely procedure is performed and proper billing of patients occurs

  • Provide safe environment for performing sterile procedures by preparing room using excellent sterile technique and safely cleaning exam room after each procedure

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Successful completion of a program in Radiologic Technology as accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; or successful completion of a program in Cardiovascular Technology as accepted by Cardiovascular Credentialing International

  • Current State of Washington certification as a Radiologic Technologist-Diagnostic or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

  • Board registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International

  • Successful completion and maintenance of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Current experience in Radiology Special Procedures and/or Cardiac Cath Lab

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Advanced ARRT Certification in Cardiovascular

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
