Swedish Medical Center Certified Nursing Assistant - Float Pool in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (0.9 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Float Pool at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides assistance in the safe and effective nursing care of patients in a variety of age groups which may include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric which is consistent with the provisions of Chapter 246-841 WAC.l.
In this position you will:
Performs a variety of tasks to provide safe and effective patient care which is consistent with established plan of care, unit procedures and standards of practice and competencies of nursing assistants
Provides personal care assistance to assigned patients
Completes appropriate sections of the Nursing Admission Assessment record and orients patients to rooms and unit routine.
Participates as an active member of the patient care team
Assists co-workers on the unit as required to provide quality and responsive patient care.
Participates in unit based Quality Improvement Program in an effort toward improving patient care.
Able to perform the role of Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) as directed
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a program to obtain a Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Washington and successful completion of the NLN Nursing Assistant in Acute Care Setting examination.
Experience in an acute care facility preferred, or related work experience.
Current Washington State Certification as a Nurse Assistant is required.
Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain certification within the orientation program is required.
Current CPR certification must be maintained at all times.
Washington State Medical Assistant-Registered is required with Swedish Edmonds facility application completed within 7 days of hire.
Must obtain active license within 60 days of hire.
