Swedish Health Services Certified Nursing Assistant - Progressive Care Unit in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (0.9 FTE, Nigth Shift) to work in the Progressive Care Unit department at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
Certified Nursing Assistant provides assistance in the safe and effective nursing care of patients in a variety of age groups which may include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric which is consistent with the provisions of Chapter 246-841 WAC.
In this position you will:
Record vital signs and report abnormal signs and symptoms to the licensed nurse
Provide personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, eating and transporting
Complete the nursing admission assessment record and orient patients to their room and hospital unit
Participate as an active member of the patient care team, including attending and participating in change of shift reports to maintain awareness of patient conditions and unit activities.
Assist co-workers on the unit as required to provide quality and responsive patient care.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current certification as a certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) (within 30 days)
Washington State Medical Assistant-Registered is required with Swedish Edmonds facility application completed within 7 days of hire. Must obtain active license within 60 days of hire. Employee will not be authorized to practice independently until registration is obtained.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital or other acute care setting
Experience in a Progressive Care Unit
