Swedish Medical Center Certified Nursing Assistant - Progressive Care Unit in Edmonds, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (0.9 FTE, Day) to work in the Progressive Care Unit department at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

We are looking for an individual who promotes the mission of Swedish by participating as a vital member of the healthcare team to provide safe and effective care to patients admitted to the hospital.

In this position you will:

  • Record vital signs and report abnormal signs and symptoms to the licensed nurse

  • Provide personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, eating and transporting

  • Complete the nursing admission assessment record and orient patients to their room and hospital unit

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current certification as a certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

  • Current CPR certification must be maintained at all times

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Registered is required with Swedish Edmonds facility application completed within 7 days of hire. Must obtain active license within 60 days of hire. Employee will not be authorized to practice independently until registration is obtained.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital or other acute care setting

  • Experience in a Progressive Care Unit
