Swedish Medical Center Charge Registered Nurse - Heart and Vascular Stevens Pavilion in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Charge Registered Nurse (0.75 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Heart and Vascular Stevens Pavilion at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role on the patient care team, demonstrating the Swedish values of patient-centered care and service; respect, caring and compassion; teamwork and partnership; continuous learning and improvement; and leadership.
In this position you will:
Assign duties and coordinate nursing service to support excellence in overall care
Evaluate nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations and efficiency of service; address any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes
Facilitate the process of reporting patient status to the following shift of nursing personnel
Manage the nursing care of assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols
Administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs
Assist Nursing Supervisor and/or Clinic Administrator in the development of training for the nursing staff to include patient education, sharpening of nursing skills, emergency procedures, etc.
Act as a resource and support for nursing staff and facilitate collaborative teamwork on the unit and with ancillary departments
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of accredited school of registered nursing
Current State of Washington Registered Nursing (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 3 years recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience
Electronic Medical Records experience
Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks under pressure
Demonstrated experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Registration with State of Washington as a Radiology Technologist
Previous charge nurse experience and/or 2 years relevant leadership experience
5 years experience as a Registered Nurse
