Swedish Medical Center Clinical Supervisor - Emergency Services in Edmonds, Washington


Swedish Edmonds is looking for a Clinical Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Evening Shift) to work for the Emergency Services Department at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization.

In this position you will:

  • Supervise the emergency department staff

  • Direct the professional nursing care for patients in assigned area

  • Assess, plan, evaluate, and document the nursing process in the assigned unit as needed

  • Oversee the supervision and evaluation of staff

  • Ensure with the manager that patient care is delivered in accordance with professional, regulatory, and medical center and department standards

  • Work with manager to establish capital and operational budgets

  • Maintain and ensure compliance in all pertinent policies and procedures and JCAHO requirements

  • Perform other related duties and assignments


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington

  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS

  • Minimum five years of relevant clinical experience with demonstrated clinical knowledge and proven leadership qualities

  • At least two years of supervisory or charge experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing

  • Current CEN and TNCC

  • Major trauma center experience

  • Knowledge of Washington State EMS and Trauma Care Services
