Swedish Health Services Clinical Supervisor - Emergency Services in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Day SHIFT) to work in the Emergency Services at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
Responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization. Supervises the emergency department staff. Directs the professional nursing care for patients in assigned area. Assesses, plans, evaluates, and documents the Nursing process in the assigned unit as needed.
In this position you will:
Provides leadership along with the manager for the unit on a day-to-day operational basis.
Accountable with the manager for assigned clinical operations, patient care activities, coordinating patient care delivery on a daily basis in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
Oversees the supervision and evaluation of staff. Conducts and oversees performance evaluations and initiates/implements disciplinary action as required. Participates in problem resolution and other sensitive personnel matters.
Plans and implements department staffing and scheduling to provide appropriate staffing levels and skills mix. Evaluates and adjusts staffing utilization to ensure cost effective, safe patient care.
Ensures with the manager that patient care is delivered in accordance with professional, regulatory, and medical center and department standards.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
5 years Relevant clinical experience.
2 years Supervisory or charge experience.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Current ACLS required.
Current PALS required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree Nursing
Major trauma center experience.
CEN and TCNN preferred.
