Swedish Medical Center CT Technologist in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a CT Technologist (1.0 FTE, Night Shift) to work for the CT Scanning at the Swedish Edmonds Campus in Edmonds, WA.
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical and patient care procedures utilizing a multi-slide CT scanner on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patients.
In this position you will:
Performs CT procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to department protocol and discuss procedures with the Radiologist to achieve optimum diagnosis.
Reconstructs or scans images in a timely manner to provide accurate avenues for diagnosis.
Demonstrates working knowledge of human anatomy to satisfactorily allow optimum positioning of patients for imaging procedure. Performs procedure in a manner which allows patients to be comfortable, both physically and emotionally.
Accurately prepares, dispenses, and administers (by injection, orally or rectally) all x-ray contrast in use in CT.
Demonstrates knowledge and application of radiation safety, use of protective devices and application of universal precaution techniques.
Maintains current knowledge and information of scan techniques and sending/ printing images from PACs.
Maintains proficiency in the operation of the RIS and EPIC computer systems to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
Performs emergency procedures when scheduled for call after normal department hours in accordance with department protocol
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a program in Radiologic Technology as accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Current Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license
Board registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
1 year Radiologic Technologist experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Previous CT experience
Post primary certification in CT
