Swedish Health Services Food Service Shift Lead - Cafeteria in Edmonds, Washington
Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Food Service Shift Lead (Per Diem, Day Shift) to work in the Cafeteria at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The Food Service Shift Lead is responsible for serving as lead in daily food service operations. Performiong required record-keeping, evaluation and monitoring functions on an ongoing basis to insure a quality, safe and sanitary food service operation.
In this position you will :
Serves as lead in the absence of the director and/or manager. This includes assisting with development of work schedules and monitoring and reviewing work assignments, checking work for accuracy and giving advice and work instructions to other employees.
Coordinates a variety of tasks related to various food and beverage catering functions, including scheduling, planning, preparing, and communicating with customers.
Reconciles daily cash on hand and maintains adequate mix of coinage and paper denominations.
Fills & delivers floor stock orders for various patient care areas within the campus. Tabulates floor stock data for month end reports.
Acts as the Person in Charge in the absence of the director or manager. Consistently surveys and monitors food production processes in order to insure products of the highest quality which meet and/or exceed standards and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school level education
Current Washington State Food handlers’ Permit
Increasingly responsible supervisory experience in institutional food service
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Dietary Manager's coursework
