Swedish is looking for a Food Services Expeditor (0.6 FTE, Days) to the Cafeteria at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA
The Food Services Expeditor coordinates the assembly of patient meals during the trayline process; checks all meal trays for appropriate food items as printed on meal ticket; ensures the timely delivery of food carts to the nursing units.
In this position you will:
Coordinate the assembly of patient meals during the trayline process; checks all meal trays for appropriate food items as printed on meal ticket, adherence to quality assurance minimums and goals.
Verifies all food items on tray for acceptability and appropriateness based on meal ticket. Ensures the timely delivery of food carts to the nursing units.
Ensures the integrity of stored food items on the trayline. Rejects any unacceptable food items and requests replacement item. Replenishes supplies on trayline.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of the room service goals for the production area. Participates in the Quality Assurance process.
Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school level education or equivalent
Current Washington State Food Handler's permit.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Previous health care food service experience desirable.
