Swedish Medical Center Lab Client Services Representative - Lab Support in Edmonds, Washington


Swedish is looking for a Lab Client Services Representative (0.2 FTE, Day Shift) in Lab Support at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

We are looking for a customer service focused individual to represent the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while answering incoming calls, processing orders and looking up patient results.

Schedule: Every Saturday, 0630-1500

In this position you will:

  • Greet outpatients as they enter the lab reception area and provide necessary instructions to process patients and their orders

  • Contact offices and physicians for clarification of orders, billing information, and integrity of specimens

  • Initiate reports in the computer; print and deliver the required laboratory reports to the appropriate areas

  • Create a physician bill for reimbursement of services


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in a medical office or laboratory setting

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory tests

Preferred quailfications for this position include:

  • Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist certification
