Swedish Medical Center Operator - Telecommunications in Edmonds, Washington

Description:

Swedish Medical Center is looking for an Operator (Per Diem, Variable) to work in Telecommunications at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.

The Operator operates a multi-line switchboard console, routes calls to the appropriate area, and maintains the Physician's Answering Service.

In this position you will:

  • Answer and connect incoming calls to hospital departments

  • Monitor hospital alarms

  • Answer Physician's Answering Service calls and dispatch or file messages as necessary to obtain medical assistance for patients

  • Maintain contact with hospital security and nursing services to obtain information about potential emergencies in order to respond appropriately

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous switchboard or answering service experience.
