Swedish Health Services Patient Services Coordinator II Radiation Oncology Clinic in Edmonds, Washington
Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a temporary Patient Services Coordinator II (Per Diem, Days) to work in our Edmonds Medical Radiation Oncology Clinic at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The Patient Services Coordinator II provides support and clinic coordination of multiple patient care services as well as patient orientation for the Swedish Radiation Oncology team on multiple campuses, exercising independence in the planning and accomplishment of a wide spectrum of clerical duties. Responsibilities include: scheduling of new patients, follow-up clinic appointments, subsequent treatments, and requested diagnostic tests, acquiring of insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations, preparing and maintaining the patient's medical record, reconciling billing issues, answering multiple phone lines and triaging phone calls. Excellent communication and problem solving skills around patient care and clinic matters are vital.
In this position you will:
Schedule patient appointments with physicians and other team members according to SRC policy and procedures. Reschedules all cancellations or no-shows for appointments.
Greet patients and gives instructions to ready them for the scheduled consult and treatment.
Contact patients regarding appointments or changes in appointments as needed. Confirms appointments with the patient 2 days in advance.
Register patients in all applicable hospital computer systems. Consents patients and ensures their completion of required forms, assisting them as needed.
Verify patient insurance coverage and enters all patient information required for billing into computer systems. Obtains referrals and collects co-payments at time of service. Apply Today! Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED required
One (1) year receptionist or front desk experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
Preferred qualification for this position include:
