Swedish Medical Center RN, Cardiac Device Clinic - Heart and Vascular Stevens Pavilion in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a RN, Cardiac Device Clinic (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Heart and Vascular Stevens Pavilion at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The RN, Cardiac Device Clinic works in assisting in pacemaker and defibrillator interrogation and implant. Serves as lead to Cardiac Technician staff and ensures that Holter Monitor scans are completed for the purposes of producing optimal diagnostic reports to be interpreted by a physician, performs daily treadmill testing for the Echocardiography Lab, interpretation of EKG and oversees maintenance, accuracy and billing of the trans-telephonic pacemaker check appointments, billing and schedules.
In this position you will:
Be responsible for all pacemaker and defibrillator checks with physician back up
Provide support to EP physician in OR as requested or scheduled by physician
Provides treadmill oversight and EKG interpretation for all treadmills within the clinic ECHO lab. Monitor ECG and hemodynamics during treadmill testing using proper techniques
Be responsible for maintaining all documentation (policies/procedures) for the Arrythmia Department including; Pacemakers, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitoring and Transtelephonic pacemaker checks
Facilitate Holter and Transtelephonic equipment maintenance as needed
Escalate any issues to the Nursing Supervisor as appropriate
Administer clerical work and record keeping related to maintaining the holter and transtelephonic labs
Develop effective communication between patients, staff and cardiologists
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program, accredited school of registered nursing
Completion of specialized training in cardiovascular disease
Working knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and basic ECG interpretation
Previous experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist or Acute Cardiac Care Nurse
Registration with Washington state by an approved school of arrhythmia monitoring
CVT certification preferred
