Swedish Medical Center Satellite Lab Assistant in Edmonds, Washington
Swedish is looking for a Satellite Lab Assistant (0.5 FTE, Days) in Lab Support at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The Satellite Lab Assistant is responsible for interacting positively with the public, physicians, and patients while performing procedures for specimen collection including patient identification, patient preparation and verification of specimens. This position will work in an off-site patient service center that serves the Edmonds Medical Plaza.
In this position you will:
Collect specimens and completes required documentation and verification of patient information
Assist with the orientation of new employees
Monitor and restock collection supplies
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of an approved phlebotomy program, through a post-secondary school, college or military program.
Seven hours of AIDS education as required under WAC 246-827.
Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist License as required by Washington State Chapter 18.360 RCW, WAC 246-827
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Prior phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting
