Swedish Health Services Unit Coordinator - Emergency Services in Everett, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Unit Coordinator (0.75 FTE, Night SHIFT) to work in Emergency Services at Swedish Mill Creek in Everett, WA .
Responsible and accountable for the coordination of information and clerical support needed for the care and flow of patients in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department environment. Management of the Medical Chart, files, on-call physicians, order entry, admission, discharge and disposition of the patient from the department. Maintains and retrieves clinical information as needed to meet regulatory requirements. Provides front line customer service and service recovery responsibility.
In this position you will:
Manages the information required to meet regulatory requirements
Coordinates order entry and results/reports needed for patient care
Demonstrates team behavior that supports and meets the team values
Performs data entry and collection of data needed to evaluate systems and processes
Initiates and prioritizes telephone communications
Required qualifications for this position include:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
One (1) year related experience in a medical setting or completion of unit coordinator program
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One year college studies
Insurance and data entry systems experience

Swedish Mill Creek has 86,000 square feet of space on three above-ground levels and a partial basement. The E.D. – which is open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week – features 18 emergency exam rooms and six additional observation beds. It shares the first floor with a complete diagnostic imaging center with X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI, which is staffed by partners from Seattle Radiology. A full laboratory and offices for primary- and specialty-care providers are on floors two and three.
