Swedish Health Services Clinical Supervisor, Labor and Delivery in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Clinical Supervisor, Labor and Delivery (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Supervisor will role model service excellence behaviors and clinical competence to staff. The Supervisor is responsible with the Clinical Manager to work collaboratively with staff, physicians and other departments and campuses to develop methods for improving the quality of care for patients. The Supervisor supports the Clinical Manager by assisting with fiscal responsibility, orientation of newly hired staff, policy/procedure/protocol development and implementation, regulatory readiness, staff development, staff evaluations, and other projects as directed.
In this position you will:
Support staff development and retention
Assist the Manager in assigned duties and tasks
Assist with fiscal management, and responsible resource stewardship
Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and assist with tracking, tardiness, absenteeism, and follow up as appropriate
Assist the unit manager in administrative duties including, but not limited to, assisting with employee performance evaluations, participating on selected committees, assisting with clinical issues and employee issues.
The Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Clinical Manager in providing overall leadership and direction for the unit. The Supervisor participates with the Clinical Manager to oversee the care delivery system and nursing practice with accountability to bring best practice to patients and families
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing - OR-
Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire.
Current License to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).
Current NRP Certification
Two (2) years recent experience in a related clinical area
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Charge Nurse experience.
