Swedish Medical Center Environmental Services Technician in Issaquah, Washington
Bonus Potential! $1000 at hireand $1000 after one year of employment
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a part-time Environmental Services Technician to work 24/hrs per. week 9am to 5:30pm at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate consistent competency in basic core skills such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash and linen removal
Clean patient, staff, office and support areas following established infection control and cleaning procedures resulting in quality outcomes
Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment. This includes isolation practices and cleaning procedures that correspond to them.
Dispose of all medical waste, (regulated, chemo, recyclables, regular) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation
Distribute and appropriately stock all required supplies
Use computer to update EPIC as primary tool for tracking individual progress of all work completed throughout the day
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school education or equivalent
Ability to read, write, understand and speak in the English language at the 8th grade level, and perform basic mathematical computation and knowledge of units if measure.
Ability to independently utilize a computer and enter data multiple times per day
One year of customer service experience
Preferred qualifications for this position:
Experience in environmental services in a healthcare or hotel setting.
Knowledgeable of patient room Critical Use Equipment (IV pumps, poles, SCD's, Blood Pressure cuffs, monitors, and cables), surgical or procedural room cleaning, and NICU, SICU, & PICU equipment cleaning
