Swedish Health Services Material Distribution and Receiving Technician in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Material Distribution and Receiving Technician (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to work in Materials Service Center at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Material Distribution and Receiving Technician is responsible for utilizing a computerized MMIS (Materials Management Information System) to conduct physical inventories, replenishment of supply areas (such as patient care and ancillary areas), and receive incoming stock and non-stock freight and parcel shipments, and prepare and coordinate outgoing parcel and freight shipments. This position is also responsible for processing fax, phone, electronic order entry, and walk up supply requests in the MSC.
In this position you will:
Conduct physical inventory / par level replenishment of supply areas, such as patient care and ancillary areas
Responsible for the receipt, processing and delivery of phone, fax, walk-up and electronic supply requests.
Responsible for the delivery of supplies and equipment and the stocking of materials to the various supply and ancillary areas as directed.
Rotate stock in MSC Inventories and on par levels on a first-in/first-out basis for all items that do not have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging. Rotates stock in MSC Inventory and on par levels on an earliest expiration date first-out basis for all items that do have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging.
Inspect all items for damage and expiration dates whenever handling materials, both in the MSC and in other supply areas.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or GED
1 year of inventory systems, receiving, warehousing and/or supply distribution using a computerized MMIS in a perpetual inventory system
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Inventory and supply distribution management courses
Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc)
Experience in healthcare environment
