Swedish Health Services Nutrition Assistant - Nutrition Services in Issaquah, Washington
Description:
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Nutrition Assistant (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to work in the Nutrition Services Department at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
Assemble and deliver patient, visitor and staff meal orders in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to patients' rooms or designated locations. Responsible for orienting patients to the A la Carte dining program, visiting patients who did not place a meal order, and assisting them as appropriate or placing a "pre-order" for them. Maintain cash bank and process cash sale orders. Responsible for retrieving soiled meal trays from patient rooms. Perform related tasks as required.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assemble trays according to standards, assuring all items on the ticket (dup) are on the tray. Check that plating guidelines and presentation standards have been followed.
Deliver meal trays to patient rooms, placing tray on bedside table within reach of the patient. (Exception: in critical care areas, locates nurse prior to delivery – only delivers if nurse requests and Isolation Rooms: places meal tray outside of patient’s room and notifies patient and nurse that the patient’s meal has arrived).
Deliver food orders to cash sales customers and processes transaction according to procedure. Record daily productivity on log and maintains acceptable delivery rate.
Consistently follow the GEL IN and GEL OUT procedure upon entry and exit of each patient room.
Consistently verify patient’s name and birth date upon delivery of meal to patient room.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school Diploma or GED
One (1) year customer service experience
Current State of Washington Food and Beverage Service Worker’s Permit.
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- One (1) year food service experience
