Swedish Medical Center Patient Care Technician in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Care Technician (1.0 FTE, Days) to work in the Surgery department at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Patient Care Technician is responsible for being a collaborative and participative member of an interdisciplinary team, consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Interventional platform at Issaquah Hospital and Swedish Medical Center.
In this position you will:
Work under the supervision of the RN to provide care and service within scope of practice to patients and their families. Receive direction from the RN for delegation of tasks. Adhere to emergency policies and procedures associated with patient care.
Collaborates with nurse and other team members to organize, prioritize and assist with functions necessary for patient admission, care delivery and discharge.
Facilitates patient movement within and to other departments and discharge destinations using wheelchair, stretcher, or bed as appropriate.
Responsible for restocking and charging of supplies after use, maintains appropriate core stocking levels, works with manager or designee to improve unit and individual routines to assure adequate room supply without excess or depletion.
Performs patient bay and procedure room turnover, maintains cleanliness of the patient care and procedural areas, equipment and patient transportation devices as indicated by department procedure.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Current Washington State certification as a Nursing Assistant Certified.
Current CPR certification must be maintained at all times.
Washington State Medical Assistant - Registered will be required with Swedish Medical Center facility application completed within 7 days of hire. Must obtain active license within 60 days of hire.
Six months of acute care experience OR
One year of skilled nursing experience.
