Swedish Medical Center Patient Registration Representative (On Call) in Issaquah, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Registration Representative (On Call) to work in Patient Registration at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.

Swedish is looking for a customer focus, detail oriented, Patient Registration Representative. This position is responsible and accountable for the coordination of information and support needed for the flow of patients in the Swedish Medical Center environment.

In this position you will:

  • Collect and enter all financial data, and insurance verifications

  • Collect insurance co-payments

  • Manage the patients’ Medical Charts, files and admission

  • Act as professional liaison with patients and family

  • Oversee outside medical center requests for patient information

  • Participate in quality improvement activities of the medical center and Emergency Department

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • CPR Certified

  • Related experience in a medical setting

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Ten-key

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • At least one year of college studies

  • Two years experience in a medical setting

  • Course in medical terminology

  • Knowledge of insurance and usage of a clinical information system to perform data entry
