Swedish Medical Center Patient Services Coordinator II, Licensed MA-C – Issaquah Swedish Cancer Institute in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator II, Licensed MA-R (FTE, Shift) to work in the Swedish Issaquah Cancer Institute in Issaquah, WA.
We are seeking a detail-focused, caring, and thoughtful individual to complete patient services coordination while promoting the goals and upholding the ideals of Swedish Medical Center in providing excellent care and experience for our diverse patient population.
In this position you will:
Provide support and clinic coordination of multiple patient care services on multiple campuses, exercising independence in the planning and accomplishment of a wide spectrum of clerical duties;
Schedule new patients, follow-up clinic appointments, subsequent treatments, and requested diagnostic tests;
Acquire insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations;
Prepare and maintain the patient’s medical record
Reconcile billing issues
Answer multiple phone lines and triaging phone calls
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school education or GED
Graduate of certified medical assistant program
Washington State Medical Assistant Registered
Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
Experienced in obtaining insurance verifications, referrals and authorizations.
Proficiency in phlebotomy skills preferred or must be able to train within three months
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with emphasis in Health Care
Minimum of one year medical assistant experience in a healthcare setting preferred (i.e. physician’s office, scheduler, etc.)
