Swedish Medical Center Patient Services Coordinator - Outpatient Rehab Services in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator II
(1.0 FTE, Day) to work in Rehabilitation Services Department at Swedish Issaquah, Issaquah, WA.
The Patient Services Coordinator II is responsible for performing a variety of front office clerical and support tasks within the rehabilitation services department. Primary responsibilities include patient registration, patient scheduling and customer service activities.
In this position you will:
Answer telephone and screen calls by inquiring about caller needs.
Answer routine questions, confirm appointments, forward calls to appropriate parties, refer caller to other sections of the organization and takes messages as required.
Soft transfers calls to other departments and schedule patients for upcoming appointments.
Screen drop-in visitors by determining purpose of visit.
Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate caring behavior.
Work closely with patients, families, visitors, physicians and staff to identify needs, answer questions, resolve problems or provide other information.
Provide a variety of clerical services including, but not limited to, typing correspondence or reports, operating copy machine, opening, sorting and distributing Interoffice and US Mail, sending or receiving faxes, maintaining files and record storage, and scanning of documents into the electronic medical record.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of recent receptionist or front desk experience.
Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes.
