Swedish Medical Center Perioperative Support Technologist II in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Perioperative Support Tech II (1.0 FTE, Evenings) to work in Anesthesia at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Perioperative Support Tech II will work with medical personnel to provide patient care in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Swedish Medical Center. This position is responsible for assisting the Anesthesiologist in all radiology departments where anesthesia is administered. The position participates in 'call' rotation for continuous Perioperative Support Technologist (PST) at night, on weekends and holidays.
In this position you will:
Expedite patient flow through the perioperative area, maintaining patient safety and customer satisfaction
Set up, operate, and maintain specialized equipment
Assist the Anesthesiologist with evaluation and monitoring of the patients during the perioperative phase
Assist in sterile or Isolation areas
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical or Science based secondary education
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Certification
Successful completion of the Swedish Medical Center Anesthesia Tech Training program within 90 days in position
Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification acquired within 90 days of employment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Washington State Healthcare Certification Assistant (HCA) categories A and B
Anesthesia Tech certification through ASATT (The American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians
Previous experience in an Anesthesia Department
