Swedish Health Services Security Officer - Facilities Security in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Security Officer (1.0FTE, Evening Shift) to work in Security at Swedish Issaquah located in Issaquah, WA.
The Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment for the patients, visitors, staff and property of Swedish Medical Center.
In this position you will:
Remain observant and alert at all times.
Reports all incidents and hazards appropriately in written reports and in passing information between shifts. Notifies supervisor and/or lead of any significant incidents that might impact department or hospital operations as soon as possible. Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
Demonstrates the highest standard of calm and professional customer service and provides the highest degree of assistance in responding to the needs of patients, visitors and staff.
Works independently and resolves problems appropriately.
Thinks quickly and formulates an effective plan for dealing with unexpected situations. Is able to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school Diploma or GED
1 year related civilian or military security/law enforcement experience.
Customer service experience and/or training.
Valid Washington State Driver’s license with insurable driving record as determined by Swedish Medical Center’s insurance provider.
Basic Security Officer Certification through International Association of Healthcare Security and required within 9 months of employment.
Certified in CPR or completed within 30 days of hire.
Successful completion of TASER© training and certification within 9 months of employment with annual re-certification.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Healthcare security experience.
