Swedish Medical Center Stroke Clinical Coordinator in Issaquah, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Stroke Clinical Coordinator (0.5 FTE, Days) to work in Administration at Swedish Issaquah in Issaquah, WA.
The Stroke Clinical Coordinator p rovides clinical and administrative support for stroke in collaboration with physician, advanced practice clinician and nursing Stroke Team members.
In this position you will:
Participate in the development and planning of a stroke program
Take a leadership role in clinical qualityimprovement efforts to include collaborative role in completing system analysesand PDSA/RCA cycles to assure optimal stroke patient experience across thesystem
Work with the Medical Director and StrokeProgram Director to educate staff (physicians, nursing and ancillary) about theprogram
Assure ongoingregulatory requirements are met for Joint Commission Stroke certification, DOHand DNV stroke regulatory requirements
Work with Stroke Team to operationalize bundlecareconcepts
Function as a resource nurse to Stroke Team, staff and patients
Required qualifications for this position include:
Nursing Baccalaureate degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire
Continued employment by Swedish beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
BLS and NIHSS required
Travel between campuses is required
Eight hours of stroke education annually
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Current stroke experience in the inpatient setting, as well as experience regarding regulatory and systems issues
Project management experience is preferred
