Swedish Health Services CT Technologist Certified - Medical Imaging in Redmond, Washington
Swedish is calling a CT Technologist Certified (Per Diem, Evening Shift) in the Medical Imaging at Swedish Redmond in Redmond, WA.
The CT Technologist Certified performs a variety of technical and patient care procedures that require independent judgment utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner. Utilizes power injectors and monitoring equipment. Starts IVs and administers IV, oral, or rectal contrast at the direction of the physician onsite. Provides exemplary customer service. Participates and is engaged in a team framework and maintains a positive approach and attitude. Continues to use their radiology technology experience doing diagnostic X-ray and Fluoroscopy work.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate complete understanding of multi-slice CT scan applications.
Accurately provide diagnostic images and related functions.
Demonstrate working knowledge of human anatomy to satisfactorily allow optimum positioning of patients for imaging procedure. Perform procedure in a manner which allows patients to be comfortable, both physically and emotionally.
Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation safety, use of protective devices and application of universal precaution techniques.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and information of current scan techniques.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program
Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Radiologic Technologist registry by ARRT upon hire
Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license
Post primary certification in CT within one (1) year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year working in a CT Scan department

It has 18 emergency exam rooms, open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week; an advanced diagnostic imaging center (with X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI), staffed by partners from Seattle Radiology; an on-site laboratory; and offices for primary- and specialty-care providers.
