Swedish Medical Center Diagnostic Sonographer - Medical Imaging in Redmond, Washington

Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Diagnostic Sonographer (0.2 FTE, Days) to work for the Medical Imaging Department at Swedish Mill Creek in Everett, WA.

The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for providing patient care services using the latest scanning technology for general and OB studies. Our sonographers work with the Physicians for each patient exam in a collaborative, team environment.

In this position you will:

  • Perform a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts

  • Make clinical judgments of the patient’s condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview, and personal assessments

  • Assist the radiologist during invasive procedures

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen and OB/GYN. If new graduate, must become registered in Abdomen and OB/GYM within 1 year of hire date

  • Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Ultrasound Intern

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Understands and effectively operates all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job

About the Mill Creek Campus:

Swedish/Mill Creek has 86,000 square feet of space on three above-ground levels and a partial basement. The E.D. – which is open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week – features 18 emergency exam rooms and six additional observation beds. It shares the first floor with a complete diagnostic imaging center with X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI, which is staffed by partners from Seattle Radiology. A full laboratory and offices for primary- and specialty-care providers are on floors two and three. Swedish/Mill Creek can immediately treat patients suffering from stroke to severe lacerations or burns, broken bones, sports injuries, allergic reactions, food poisoning, work-related injuries and many other medical emergencies and non-emergencies.
