Swedish Health Services Surgical Scrub Tech - Ambulatory Surgery Center in Redmond, Washington
Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Surgical Technologist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work at the Ambulatory Surgery Services Center in Redmond, WA.
The Surgical Technologist (ST) in the Ambulatory Surgery Center is responsible for facilitating the surgical procedure through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies. The Surgical Technologist works as a member of the ambulatory surgery center team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical support personnel to provide patient care in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Swedish Medical Group.
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus (Externals Only) and Relocation Available
In this position you will:
FREE PARKING at the Redmond Campus
Schedule is Monday-Friday; no working on weekends, holidays or on-call shifts
Collects and prepares equipment, instruments and supplies necessary for surgical procedures
Sets up sterile field with instruments according to established procedures
Continually maintains neat and orderly sterile field as dictated by the sequence of the procedure
Maintains supply of fluids and medications labeled and ready for use during operation
Discards all used sponges into proper receptacle as per accepted practice to ensure accurate count and avoid contamination of others.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training
Registration with the Washington State Department of Health as a Surgical Technologist
CPR Provider certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
National certification by the Liaison Council on Certification for Surgical Technologists
Experience in an ambulatory surgery center operating room
