Swedish Medical Center is looking for a full-time, days shift BuildingAutomation Engineer to work in Facility Managementat Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
The Building AutomationEngineer (BAE) monitors, evaluates, and adjusts mechanical systems performancefor proper and efficient operation including pumps, fans, valves, dampers,terminal units, heat transfer equipment, fluid flow conditions, and air and watersystem balance.
In this position you will:
Providestechnical guidance and support including set-up, verification, operation, andtroubleshooting complex building automation and control systems; verifiesfunctional performance of systems.
Providestechnical instruction and training to other technicians and personnel on basictheory, proper system operations, preventative maintenance, troubleshootingtechniques, typical system failures, and corrections.Is familiar with instrumentation andcalibration techniques.
Givesmanagement staff recommendations on equipment/systems operation andmodification for energy conservation, efficiency, and reliability.
The BAE willassist Facility Engineering staff and contractors with maintaining DDC systemsincluding JCI, Alerton, PowerNet, IMPACC, PLC’s and other control softwareinterfaces.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelorof Science degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.An equivalent 1:1 in experience may besubstituted for each year of college not completed.
Certificationin advanced operation of DDC software and components required.
Fiveyears experience in the design and implementation of DDC building controlsystems including programming, troubleshooting, operation and maintenance.
Mustpossess the technical knowledge to design and troubleshoot complex buildingautomation systems with a particular focus upon energy efficiency andregulatory compliance.
