Swedish Medical Center Charge RN - Pre and Post in Seattle, Washington
Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Charge Registered Nurse (1.0 FTE, Evenings) to work in the Pre and Post Surgery Unit at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.
Swedish Medical Center has an opportunity available for an experienced Charge Registered Nurse. The Pre and Post Charge Nurse is a key team member who is responsible for coordinating patient care and nursing service activities in assigned area.
In this position you will:
Assess, plan, evaluate, and document the nursing process in the assigned unit as needed- maintaining efficiencies with patients coming from PACU as well as patients in post op and through discharge
Actively participate in staff development
Discern departmental needs in managing daily workload and staffing within budget and standard of care
Serve as the role model for staff and assist staff in following established, best practices procedures
Required qualifications for this position include:
All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 6 years of hire
A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultation with the Human Resources leader
Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
12 months experience working with the same type of patient population with demonstrated leadership accomplishments
- Previous Charge RN experience
